Creating your images Here's an outline of how the process works and how long it takes to get the images you want. Before the session we'll discuss your needs and ideas: the types of photos you'd like, important background, who'll be at the session, the setting, combinations of subjects, and agree a time for the shoot. Take a look at the gallery of images and let me know any sources of inspiration or ideas. To reserve the shoot, payment for the session must be made in advance. The session itself will be informal and relaxed. The best images are those where the subjects reveal natural expressions – so having fun and relaxing in an attractive setting are key ingredients in achieving the best images. Feel free to bring along to the shoot any favourite props such as items relating to the subjects' hobbies or interests (wooden toys, musical instruments etc). If children are involved I'll be asking the parent or carer to actively assist in the success of the shoot! Wear whatever you feel comfortable in. I suggest long rather than short sleeves and coloured rather than white clothing. One hour is generally sufficient for a session but should we need longer there will be time available. At the end of the shoot we'll set a date to view a collection of the best images. This would typically take place one week after the session. |
